Well, here goes my first kick at restoring a sled. The only other one that I have done was a Kitty cat so this will be a new experience for me. I have spent the last two years gathering up parts for it and now it is time to begin.
I picked up this sled a little over two years ago when I traded a Jag cylinder and $100.00 for this little dream machine. I rode it once or twice before I put it under a cover and I really haven't looked at it since that time.
As you can see it has some "Custom" graphics on it that will have to be removed to return it to stock condition. The vents on the hood I have never seen anywhere else so I assume that was part of the customizing and the holes will have to be filled in as well. I bought an 79 NOS seat for it over a year ago and I will have to get the proper graphics as well. Andy Taylor suggested to start with the hood and use it for motivation for the days when you just don't feel like "getting into it".
My goal is to have this finished in 10 months so please check the site every now and then for updates.
